The Abu Dhabi T10, also called the T10 League, is one of the most exciting cricket tournaments in the world. It is played in a 10-over format, which started in 2017. The first season had six teams, but now there are 10 teams in the latest edition.

The tournament is run by the Emirates Cricket Board. Since 2017, it has had many successful seasons each year. So far, four teams have won the Abu Dhabi T10 title. In this article, we will discuss the winners of the Abu Dhabi T10 League from the first season to the latest.

1. Kerala Kings – 2017

The maiden season in 2017 was played between six teams. Kerala Kings, under the captaincy of Eoin Morgan, won the inaugural edition. They finished their group at the top and made it to the final. Kerala Kings faced Punjabi Legends in the final and won it by 8 wickets. Captain Morgan played a match-winning knock of 21-ball 63 in the final to help his team win the title.

2. Northern Warriors – 2018

After the success of the maiden season, two more teams joined the second edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League, making it an 8-team tournament. Northern Warriors became the champion in the second edition. It was Darren Sammy that led this team, and Robin Singh was the head coach. Northern Warriors lost only one game in the entire tournament. They faced the Pakhtoons in the final and beat them by 22 runs to win the title. Rovman Powell, who scored an unbeaten 61 off 25, won the Player of the Match in the final.

3. Maratha Arabians – 2019

The third season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League took place in 2019. Maratha Arabians ended up winning this edition under the captaincy and coaching of Dwayne Bravo and Andy Flower, respectively. Maratha Arabians lost two games during the group stage, but they had pretty good performance in the knockout stage. They faced the Deccan Gladiators in the final and registered an easy 8-wicket win to clinch the title. They played until the fourth season only.

4. Northern Warriors – 2021

The fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League was delayed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, and it was played after two years in 2021. 8 teams took part in that competition, and Northern Warriorz won their second title in 2021. The Warriors had a pretty consistent performance throughout the season. They faced the Delhi Bulls in the final and registered a win by 8 wickets to win the title. This win for the franchise came under Nicholas Pooran.

5. Deccan Gladiators – 2021-22

The fifth edition saw the Maratha Arabians and Pune Devils getting defunct, and a total of six teams took part in the fifth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League. In this season, Deccan Gladiators won the title under the captaincy of Wahab Riaz. They beat Delhi Bulls in the final by a big 56 runs. Andre Russell played an excellent knock of 32 balls for 90 runs in the final and won the Man of the Match award.

6. Deccan Gladiators – 2022

Deccan Gladiators became the first team to defend their title in the 2022 edition. After winning the fifth season, they defended their title successfully in 2022. This season saw two new teams making their debut, and it was once again an 8-team competition. They faced the New York Strikers in the final, and David Wiese’s 43* off 18 helped them defend their title.

7. New York Strikers – 2023

Deccan Gladiators were very close to making a hat trick of wins. It was New York, who finished as runner-up in 2023, who took the revenge and became the champions. Kieron Pollard led the team to their maiden title. They won the final by 7 wickets with Asif Ali scoring a 25-ball 48 not out to help the team win the final. They will defend their title in 2024.
